After the wild shenanigans of Dawn and Tim, I’m delighted to tone things down for this number. Although it was fun, finding silly places to record and doing the recording there is actually time-consuming. So, here’s a song called ¿Dónde Está El Baño?. And I started recording it from the comfort of the apartment…

Recording ¿Dónde Está El Baño? scratch track
Firstly, I set up my Chromebook, BandLab Link Digital and peripherals in the usual way.
Although I always envisioned ¿Dónde… with both acoustic and electric guitars, for the scratch track, it wasn’t really essential to record both.
So, to start, I plugged my guitar into my pedalboard, then from the pedalboard into the Link Digital.
Because it’s the most middle-toned of my guitars, I used my semi-hollow guitar with two humbuckers,
Now, I knew some sections of the song would be more acoustic than others. So, I decided to play those parts clean. Then, play the more electric-centric parts with my trusty Ibanez Tube Screamer engaged. Additionally, I played power chords for the verse parts, and open chords for choruses.
Then, it was time for vocals. In this case, I simply unplugged the pedalboard from the audio interface, and plugged in my microphone. Obviously, said microphone was on a stand with a pop shield.
Conclusion
To conclude, here’s the completed scratch track. As can be seen, there wasn’t an awful lot to this.
Be that as it may, would people appreciate a video tutorial of this kind of thing?
